Vermont Mountains

Vermont Mountains

I have been to Vermont a few times in my life to snowboard, usually going on school trips or with a group of friends, and every time I go the conditions, the trails and the atmosphere is amazing. The mountains I have been to are Jay Peak, Stowe and Sugarbush. Riding on these mountains is a completely different experience than I’ve ever had in PA, because instead of always worrying about catching an edge and hitting ice, you are always in fresh powder.

Jay Peak

I went to Jay Peak last year for the first time in my life and it was a ton of fun. With an elevation of 3858 ft and 76 different trails ranging from green to double black, including glade runs as well. Jay Peak receives more snowfall (355 inches) than any ski area on the East Coast each year. One thing that Jay Peak has that no other lift has in Vermont is its 60-person tram that takes its passengers all the way up to the top of the mountain. With a mountain like Jay Peak the trails never end. I rate this mountain 9 out of 10.
